Connecting Malaysia and the UK for a Stronger Metals Recovery Industry

PERKESA President and Kenanga Waja Chairman Dato G Kumaar Aamaan visited MIDA London in Mayfair following a formal invitation from Director Puan Nurullydia Ahmad. He was received by Amir Hakim Mohd Yusof, Deputy Director, and Teagu Vannu Gopal, Investment Officer.

The discussion explored UK expansion and how lessons from British industry practices could support stronger policies and more capable recycling businesses in Malaysia. It provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on building responsible international connections across the scrap-metal value chain.

Dato Kumaar also shared PERKESA’s ambition to expand into catalytic-converter recycling and precious-metal recovery, connecting market opportunities with technical expertise and compliant material supply chains.
