Advancing Malaysia’s Precious-Metal Recovery Network with BR Metals

PERKESA official update

PERKESA and Kenanga Waja visited BR Metals to explore catalytic-converter processing, precious-metal recycling and opportunities for responsible industry cooperation.

Dato G Kumaar Aamaan, President of PERKESA and Chairman of Kenanga Waja Sdn Bhd, led a delegation to BR Metals in Johor Bahru. The delegation was received by Anderson Tan, Business Development Executive, and Muhamad Afiq Bin Jais, Chemist, for an industry discussion and facility tour.

The visit offered a closer look at spent catalytic converters, processing equipment and material-handling practices. Discussions explored technical knowledge exchange, responsible sourcing and potential cooperation across the precious-metal recovery value chain.

Building on its recent engagements in specialist recycling, PERKESA continues to connect scrap-metal businesses with processing expertise and higher-value recovery opportunities. The exchange with BR Metals strengthens this growing industry network while keeping future collaboration focused on practical capability, responsible operations and sustainable growth.

PERKESA thanks the BR Metals team for their welcome and extends its appreciation to the accompanying delegation. The association looks forward to further dialogue that advances Malaysia’s resource-recovery sector and circular economy.
